Penzance Heliport will reinstate the scheduled passenger helicopter service between Penzance and the Isles of Scilly.

The helicopter service will provide a reliable, fast, comfortable and customer-focussed year-round helicopter lifeline to the Isles of Scilly. This project will help grow visitor numbers to the islands, extend the tourist season, secure and create employment and make transport easier for locals and visitors alike.

Above all, this project will help secure the economic and social future of the Isles of Scilly, making the islands a better place to live, visit and work.

The flights will serve all the islands through St Mary’s Airport and will also restore a direct link to Tresco.

Will be great to see. Living in Plymouth I constantly saw the Sikorsky S-61 helicopters from British International who used to do the Penzance – Scilly flights when they came to Plymouth Airport for maintenance. Was always saying how much I’d love to book a flight to experience the service. After the service was stopped I really hated myself for never getting around to trying the service out.
Great to see it is being started up again. I can’t wait to finally get the chance to experience the flight experience finally
