Frequently Asked Questions

Can I book yet?

We received planning consent in August 2018 and expect helicopter flights from Penzance Heliport to commence in spring 2020. Please sign up to our email updates to be the first to hear when tickets go on sale, as well as other updates.

Will you fly to both Tresco and St Mary's?
Yes – the Isles of Scilly helicopter service from Penzance Heliport will be the only service to operate to both Tresco and St Mary’s. From both islands there are excellent onward connections to Bryher, St Martin’s and St Agnes.
What will a ticket cost?
We anticipate a standard adult return ticket will cost around £230. Further ticketing information will be available in due course.
Will passengers with mobility difficulties be able to use the helicopter?
Absolutely. One of our overriding aims is to improve access to the Isles of Scilly and we will do all we can to make all passengers welcome, within the constraints of safety regulations that apply to all air operators.
What will the luggage allowance be?
We anticipate a standard luggage allowance of 20kg per passenger.
Will dogs be welcome?
We expect to welcome dogs onboard the helicopter.
Will the helicopter operate all year round?
Yes – we believe it’s important that islanders and visitors have excellent access to and from the islands throughout the year and anticipate flying all year round. Naturally there will be fewer flights in the winter, when less people travel.
Are you creating any new jobs?
Yes – we expect to create around 30 new jobs, with positions on both the Isles of Scilly and in Penzance. Applications are not currently open, but please keep an eye on our website and social media for updates.
Is this linked to the helicopter operating out of Land's End?

No. This is an independent service which will operate from Penzance Heliport to both Tresco and St Mary’s all year round. The helicopter operating from Land’s End operates to St Mary’s only, on a seasonal basis.
